POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Senior Director, Sourcing is to search and identify the best suppliers available to meet the requirements of the brand and to negotiate best terms for the production of apparel based on predetermined specifications. Ensure on time delivery of quality merchandise by effectively managing all production activities from end to end.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Effectively identifies, sources, and negotiates all components of the product Coordinates all phases of product development and production, following preplanned timelines. Responsible for monitoring, and maintaining a method of evaluating the capabilities, capacity, management staff, and manufacturing performance of factories and resources Financially maximizes the Gross Margin plan of the classification(s) by assuring target costs are met, quality is maintained, deliveries are on time, and claims are minimized Conducts production meetings on a weekly basis
Recommends to Design, supplies for fabric and yarn research and development, based on affordability, supplier capability, and proximity
