About the role

The Senior Director, Global Workplace Experience is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and delivering a world-class workplace experience across all global offices. You will oversee facilities operations, workplace strategy, employee experience programs, sustainability programs, and vendor management. You bring a people-first mindset and operational experience to create spaces that inspire productivity, collaboration, inclusion, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Workplace Strategy & Leadership
    • Define and drive the vision and roadmap for global workplace experience aligned with company culture, hybrid work models, and business growth.
    • Lead and mentor regional and local workplace and facilities teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Partner with executives, HR, IT, and other departments to deliver seamless workplace services across regions.
  • Facilities & Operations Management
    • Oversee operations, maintenance, and safety for all global real estate locations, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
    • Lead space planning and office design to support flexibility, team needs, and hybrid work.
    • Manage large-scale office openings, expansions, relocations, and renovations.
  • Global Physical Security Partnership
    • Protecting People & Places – Safeguarding employees, talent, executives, and visitors across all Crunchyroll offices, productions, and events through access control, guard coverage, and emergency preparedness.
    • Incident Response & Risk Management – Providing clear procedures, reporting tools, and trained staff to prevent, detect, and respond to threats, natural disasters, and workplace emergencies.
    • Continuity & Compliance – Ensuring business continuity, regulatory adherence, and alignment with Sony's global standards while maintaining a safe, trusted workplace culture.
  • Employee Experience & Culture
    • Develop and lead workplace experience programs that promote employee well-being, inclusion, and engagement.
    • Implement hospitality-inspired services, community-building events, and environmental enhancements to elevate the employee experience.
    • Monitor employee feedback and workplace usage to inform continuous improvement.
  • Sustainability & ESG
    • Lead sustainability initiatives in workplace operations, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint measurement.
    • Align facilities practices with ESG and corporate social responsibility goals.
  • Budget & Vendor Oversight
    • Own and manage global workplace budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and ROI.
    • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for services including cleaning, security, catering, real estate, and design firms.

In the role of Senior Director, Global Workplace Experience, you will report to the Vice President, Workplace and Real Estate.

Location: Los Angeles

Our office in Los Angeles is fun, vibrant and collaborative. Our offices globally are immersed in Japanese culture providing modern facilities, gaming machines, free drinks and snacks and funky areas to relax or collaborate with your team. We have a hybrid working policy with set and flexible days in the office and working remotely. This position is mandatory in the office Monday - Friday.

About You

  • 15+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Global leadership experience managing distributed teams and multi-site portfolios.
  • Experience with hybrid work models, modern workplace trends, and change management.
  • Background in employee experience, hospitality, or human-centered design.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with sustainability and environmental compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
