Senior DevOps Engineer

Two Six Technologies is seeking an experienced cleared Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cyber team! You will work with our deployment, infrastructure, and security teams on delivering the newest capabilities and integrations across multiple next-generation command and control (C2) platforms for many IC and DoD customers, several of which are in operational use today.

The work will be hybrid (onsite and telework) with up to 4 days/week in our Arlington VA Office. The selected candidate will have an active TS/SCI clearance. 

The ideal candidate will have deep experience working as a DevOps Engineer developing solutions for:

  • Automating developer workflows
  • Building and monitoring CI/CD pipelines
  • Automating security scanning and reporting
  • Deploying and managing build environments, both with on prem hardware and with various cloud providers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, assess and implement technical solutions to evolve infrastructure
  • Provide daily operational support for Linux operating systems and applications
  • Maintain the integrity of systems by monitoring security feeds and dashboards in support of Continuous Monitoring
  • Monitor application and operating system performance; analyze, document and remediate incidents
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for applications across a complex computing infrastructure
  • Leverage scripting and system automation tools
  • Evaluate and implement security patches on a regular interval
  • Interact directly with development teams and evaluate vendor products to assist their needs
  • Support tier 3 troubleshooting for small teams and ensure the implementation of proper fixes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; comparable relevant experience and education will be considered
  • 5+ years practical experience as a DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer, or Systems Administrator
  • 5+ years experience working with Linux - RHEL or other Enterprise Linux
  • 5+ years experience with hypervisors - VMWare ESXi, vCenter, Proxmox
  • Demonstrated working experience with cloud providers and related tooling - AWS, Azure
  • Demonstrated working experience with standard development tools - git, ticketing tools, CI/CD controllers, debugging tools
  • 5+ years network administration experience - route/switch, security, peering
  • Working experience with scripting tools like Ansible, Bash, Python
  • Working experience with configuration management tools like Terraform
  • Working experience containerization, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance 

Nice if you Have:

  • Linux System Administrator Certification
  • Network Administrator Certification
  • Certifications relating to IT Security (CISSP, GIAC, Security+)
  • Experience servicing DoD customers, working in DoD environments
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Project management experience, managing milestones, trajectories, timelines, etc.

Clearance Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range
$144,000—$216,000 USD
