About the Role
We are expanding our highly skilled Platform & Infrastructure Engineering team and are looking for a Senior Developer – CI/CD who can help scale, automate, and enhance our software delivery lifecycle. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and support continuous integration and continuous delivery systems that enable hundreds of developers to build, test, and deploy software rapidly, reliably, and securely.
You’ll work across multiple teams to improve developer experience, evolve our build and deployment frameworks, and ensure our infrastructure and pipelines remain efficient, observable, and resilient.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite, or GitHub Actions.
• Maintain and improve build and deployment infrastructure using Bazel, Make, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Operate and support distributed build and delivery systems across AWS and Azure environments.
• Enhance the developer experience by providing best-in-class automation tools and workflows that reduce build, test, and deployment times.
• Implement standardized monitoring, metrics, and alerting for CI/CD services in collaboration with Observability teams.
• Develop and maintain artifact management and package registry solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of our internal developer platform (e.g., Backstage) to improve visibility and streamline development workflows.
• Participate in proof-of-concepts for new CI/CD technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Ensure supply chain security, compliance, and reliability across all CI/CD systems and dependencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and platform teams to resolve delivery bottlenecks and improve overall developer productivity.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or build/release engineering.
• Strong software development skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Proven experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Buildkite, or GitHub Actions.
• Expertise in build automation tools (Bazel, Make, Gradle, or Maven).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and branching strategies.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code technologies (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Experience administering Linux-based environments (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
• Familiarity with artifact management, package registries, and dependency management (pip, npm, yarn, Maven).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred/Additional Skills
• Experience with Backstage platform development and plugin integration.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Exposure to machine image creation tools (Packer).
• Understanding of secure CI/CD practices and software supply chain security.
• Experience with .NET application build and deployment automation.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations and clearly document rationale and risks.
