Join TELUS Health for a major strategic project. As a Senior Data Conversion Lead you will be responsible for coordinating all data conversion activities for a portfolio of implementation projects. You will act as a conductor, establishing methodologies, overseeing specialized resources, and ensuring the quality of deliverables while serving as a principal escalation point for all data-related issues.

This unique role combines technical leadership, project management, and data expertise, providing exceptional executive visibility and major organizational impact. You will work closely with project managers, QA teams, and functional experts to ensure the success of this critical transformation.

What You'll Do

Leadership and Strategic Coordination

  • Orchestrate and coordinate data conversion activities for a portfolio of concurrent projects, overseeing all conversion initiatives

  • Define, implement and maintain the data conversion methodology for the entire portfolio, ensuring consistency and efficiency of processes

  • Oversee and coordinate a team of Data Specialists to maximize efficiency and quality of deliverables

  • Prioritize and plan Data Conversion projects based on business value, ensuring resources are working on the most critical tasks

Client Management and Stakeholders

  • Lead Data Conversion workshops and all data meetings with Customers, explaining the data Template and initial Load Process

  • Establish the Data Conversion strategy for each Customer according to the established Standards and obtain the necessary approvals from management

  • Serve as the Primary contact and escalation for all Data Conversion related issues for Customers and implementation teams

  • Proactively identify and communicate requests that are not part of the contract as scope changes to the project manager

Technical Excellence and Quality

  • Analyze technical Documents, identify gaps where standard Tools do not meet Customer needs, and document required data transformations

  • Coordinate the resolution of all data quality issues (validations and controls) in collaboration with QA teams and internal resources

  • Oversee unit testing, validation of conversion results, and final approval of data loads

  • Anticipate and communicate major risks in terms of time or quality, by proposing mitigation plans to the project manager

What You Bring

Essential Skills

  • Functional bilingualism (French and English) (oral and written)

  • Real-world experience converting and migrating data at a large scale in a multi-project context

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight

  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization

  • Technical leadership with the ability to motivate a team and make effective decisions despite uncertainty

  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Technical Assets

  • Mastery of data conversion methodologies and tools, initial loading, and validation processes

  • Ability to understand, explain, and document complex data models and data transformations

  • Ability to analyze technical documents and define high-level test scenarios

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of pension administration or integrated administration solutions

  • Previous experience with plan administration platforms

  • Experience in managing implementation or vendor transition projects
