Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Senior or Lead Cyber Security Solution Architect. Position is based out of Richmond, BC office.

This position will focus on supporting the Technical Operations and Airplane Integration lines of business by leading activities to define requirements, domain knowledge especially as part of request for information, proposals, quotes, design and verify robust architecture, data and information management systems and components.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will require working directly with both the Product Management Team, Sales, Software Development, Delivery Services and our international customer base. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors' products and services to develop a comprehensive understanding (breadth and depth) of specific competitor activities and their impact on company strategy to improve our competitive position.

  • Establishes a broad network of contacts and knowledge base to act as a broker of knowledge to multiple customer needs.

  • Develops customer solutions by coordinating and integrating with internal and external processes and divisions to provide a competitive advantage and to foster business growth with acceptable margins.

  • Coordinates packaging of Boeing and Industry products and knowledge into complete solutions that meets customer needs. Leads review process with management by balancing customer expectations and Boeing resources. Aligns third party deliverables.

  • Takes consultative approach to help customers achieve objectives.

  • Leads preparation of proposals by developing themes and discriminators and ensures correct members and resources are included in the team. Recommends alternative means of compliance to customer requests. Reviews and contributes to the final draft materials.

  • Challenges recommended scope and cost to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

  • Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements.

  • Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models.

  • Assesses the feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives.

  • Leads DevSecOps for our software development lifecycles and have a focus on Cyber Systems. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in SaaS solutions, application refactoring, cloud solutions.

  • Experience with IT Architecture Consultancy.

  • Deep security, cyber, and crypto knowledge/consulting experience and implementation skills.

  • Deep knowledge of DevSecOps for our software development lifecycles and on Cyber Systems.

  • Cloud strategy and migration planning.

  • Ability to interface between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous experience in international business and/or multi-cultural environments

  • Ability to work across time zones with a globally dispersed team

  • On-prem & hosted -> serverless application transformation  

  • CIO, CISO and/or CTO role experience(s) 

  • Data mesh, multi-cloud aware  

  • Previous experience in airline maintenance operations and a solid understanding of aviation concepts

  • Exceptional communication and ability to build and maintain strong business relationships 

  • Experience with defining requirements, domain knowledge especially as part of request for information, proposals, quotes, design and verify robust architecture, data and information management systems and components. 

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Salary pay range - $120,000.00 - $214,000.00 CAD
