R_325665 Senior Energy and Power Claims Advocate
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Claims Advocate to join our specialized Energy & Power Claims team. This role is integral to managing complex claims associated with both Energy (upstream, midstream and downstream) and Power (conventional and renewable’s). The successful candidate will work in close partnership with clients, markets and cross-functional teams, including claims preparation, placing and engineering colleagues across the organization. This position demands proactive leadership in claims management, strategic problem solving, and negotiation, while also contributing to business development by supporting broking teams in client retention and acquisition.
We will count on you to:
- Actively manage complex claims within the Energy & Power sector, providing leadership and ownership to ensure successful project completion.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, supporting broking efforts through participation in client pitches and Requests For Proposal meetings.
- Develop and implement innovative claims solutions and value proposition strategies that address evolving client needs and enhance service delivery.
- Handle technical aspects of claims including negotiation, strategy development, and risk mitigation to optimize outcomes and minimize Marsh’s exposure.
- Lead research on major loss incidents and coordinate marketing initiatives to raise the profile of Claims Solutions both internally and externally.
What you need to have:
- In-depth knowledge of the Energy & Power industry and insurance market, with expertise in market claim procedures and strong carrier relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to formulate effective claim strategies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen to sell claims solutions and mitigate Marsh risk by closing claims optimally.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet client and organizational needs.

- Experience in claims advocacy or claims management within the Energy & Power sector, including both conventional and renewable energy.
- Demonstrated success in delivering training, technical publications, and marketing initiatives to enhance claims capabilities.
- Ability to innovate and drive revenue generation initiatives within claims solutions.
- Strong research skills and experience benchmarking data to support claims solutions development.
