Senior Business Execution Consultant - CIB Model Governance

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant to support Corporate & Investment Banking Model Governance execution.

The Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Model Governance Team serves as the front line of model risk management, accountable for the execution, assessment, and effective oversight of model-related risks across the CIB. In addition to the day-to-day execution activities, the team supports the frontline in meeting policy requirements while also providing strategic guidance and recommendations. This includes ensuring that model risk management policy requirements, internal controls, processes, and procedures are both adequate and effective, and that executive management has a clear understanding of the risks, exposures, and emerging trends impacting the business. Key knowledge and experience that will support success in the roles includes extensive knowledge of CIB markets products, understanding of model development activities and methodologies, prior experience in trading or ex-trading roles and/or familiarity with CIB trading desk processes and procedures.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support execution of day-to-day activities supporting CIB Model Governance across the lifecycle of models as required by Model Risk Management Policy.
  • Work independently to make recommendations and provide guidance to support model owners, model developers and other frontline stakeholders in execution of day-to-day model governance activities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, policy implementation, issue management, control execution and efficiency supporting CIB Model Governance.
  • Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures required in management of Model Risk Management Policy and other associate enterprise policies impacting the business.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships across a complex, matrixed organization in CIB, consulting and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international business.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking products and model policy/governance, services and business processes including capital markets.
  • Experience with products such as FX, Rates, Equities, Credit, or other Markets products
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Strategic Planning, Analytics or comparable focus area(s)
