  • 12 month fixed term contract + possible extension

  • Sydney Based - close to public transport - 2/3 days in the office

The Senior Business Analyst – MES (Manufacturing execution systems) leads and supports business analysis activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technical standards. This role provides expert guidance to analysis teams and project stakeholders, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, accurately captured, and effectively addressed. Working closely with the Principal Business Analyst and other key stakeholders, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that analysis efforts contribute meaningfully to strategic objectives and successful solution delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates proposed solutions through cost-benefit analysis and stakeholder input to ensure strategic alignment and resource viability.
  • Captures, validates, and manages business requirements to guide solution development and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plans and oversees testing to confirm solutions meet business needs, identifying defects and ensuring user satisfaction.
  • Designs and validates data models to support scalable, efficient solutions and maintain data integrity.
  • Leads initiatives to streamline operations using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, ensuring measurable performance gains.
  • Promotes best practices in business analysis by selecting, training on, and updating methodologies and tools for consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Min 5 years business analysis
  • Experience in Business process modelling
  • Test planning, coordination, and execution
  • Workshop facilitation (e.g., standups, requirements/process workshops)
  • Agile Scrum methodologies/ IT software project lifecycle
  • Exposure to manufacturing operations (via projects or direct involvement)
  • Experience in one or more of the below will be highly regarded:
    • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
    • Background in healthcare, medical, life sciences, or regulated environments
    • Project delivery with system integration (SI) partners
    • Participation in transformation programs
