We are looking for a Project Manager (Senior Associate) for our Project & Development Services (PDS) department in Stockholm, Sweden.

JLL's Project & Development Services (P&DS) team in Sweden is a dynamic group of approximately 22 project managers and building surveyors, dedicated to supporting both tenants and landlords with their real estate projects. 

Building on our success, we have recently expanded our P&DS business to Gothenburg, where JLL already has a strong presence with our Capital Markets and Leasing teams. This is a key step in our growth strategy, as we plan to rapidly scale the Gothenburg business and expand further into the Oresund region within the next few years. 

   

Main responsibilities  

Within the Project Management department, you will work on programming, developing and implementing commercial real estate projects on behalf of owner-occupiers, investors and public players. We are looking for a Project Manager who wants to become part of a strong construction management consultancy team: 

  • Oversee and manage a diverse range of construction projects (primarily commercial real estate projects e.g. office, logistic, hotel etc) of varying scale and complexity. 

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as consultants, architects, and municipalities, to conduct thorough analyses and investigations. 

  • Manage and steer the project group to ensure that project objectives regarding quality, time, and budget will be achieved. 

  • Lead the project design and coordination of office spaces, ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics, regularly facilitate meetings. 

  • Manage all aspects of myndighetskontakter (authority contacts), including obtaining necessary permits, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes. 

  • Handling stakeholder alignment (e.g. neighbours or other external parties). 

  • Efficiently procure and manage a network of contractors and consultants, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines. Utilize previous knowledge and expertise to advise both local and international clients throughout the procurement process. This includes providing guidance on RFP requirements and preparing thorough tender analyses and well-grounded recommendation memos 

  • Manage change request process and advise landlords accordingly. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and secure new project opportunities, effectively presenting and selling the company's services. 

  • Contribute to the continuous development of internal structures and processes, streamlining project workflows and enhancing overall efficiency. 

  • Apply extensive experience and knowledge gained from at least 5 years in a similar role as a project manager within the construction industry. 

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in budget (including cost tracking and invoice management) and schedule management, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints and timeframes. 

  • Showcase deep knowledge of construction materials and processes, staying updated with industry trends and advancements. 

  • Previous experience with office adaptation or development projects, showcasing familiarity with the end-to-end construction process. 

  • Appreciate and thrive in an international corporate environment, leveraging cultural diversity and global perspectives. 

  • Exhibit fluent proficiency in spoken and written English, enabling effective communication in both internal and external contexts. 

You will systematically work on several projects at the same time, under a senior project manager’ supervision and in collaboration with several team members – also from other business lines.  For the benefit of the team, you will also contribute to optimizing our processes, tools and templates.  

Experience and knowledge  

  • You have successfully completed a (bachelor or master) degree in civil (construction) engineering, architecture, or other real estate related studies.  

  • You have theoretical knowledge about construction processes and property development 

  • You preferable possess relevant certifications, including being a certified Byggarbetsmiljösamordnare (Construction Site Coordinator) for both planning and execution phases (Bas-P and Bas-U). 

  • You have good knowledge in the area of law that governs building and construction contracts, including the rights and obligations of contractors, clients, and consultants involved in a project (“entreprenadjuridik”) 

  • You preferable have good knowledge in the branch of law that deals with the rights and obligations of both landlords and tenants as outlined in a rental or lease agreement (“hyresjuridik”) 

  • Very good knowledge of MS Office systems (including MS projects) 

  • Confident knowledge of English and Swedish, both written and spoken 

  • Good knowledge of CAD, graphics and presentation programmes as well as knowledge of visualisation
