The Senior Associate, Data Platform Engineering will be responsible for deploying strategic data platform features. This role is engaged and collaborates with our data solutions engineers to support powerful data engineering solutions per roadmap. The Senior Associate will contribute to data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline optimization, ensuring high-quality, governed, and performant data flows across the organization. The role reports to the VP, Data Platform Engineering.
What You Will Do:

Apply hands-on data platform engineering with strong collaboration across all data solutions engineers to design and implement scalable solutions.

Deploy, monitor, and support platform solutions with a focus on improving data observability, optimizing performance and coordinating release management.

Explore, evaluate and experiment with current and emerging data platform tools and capabilities, applying them to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Deliver well-architected, high-quality data platform solutions in partnership with data solutions engineers, data governance, data science, and data analytics/visualization teams.
What You Will Have:

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering.

Deep understanding of data engineering, DevOps, DBA concepts and data operations.

Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment and Finance within Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus.

Minimum experience of five years in a growing data engineering role, with at least five years in programming (Python) and SQL.

Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance and modern data platform implementations.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.

Strong verbal and written skills.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
