Who You Are

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Analyst to drive our understanding of the global competitive landscape and inform critical commercial decisions. This role sits within the MaPS (Marketing, Product, and Strategy) Group and is critical to translating competitor movements and market trends into actionable strategies for the executive, Product, and Sales teams. You are an expert individual contributor, capable of independently structuring complex research projects and delivering battle-card-ready insights.

Responsibilities and Duties  

  • Competitive Intelligence Ownership: Serve as the definitive in-house subject matter expert and coordinator on competitor technology, product roadmaps, GTM motions, and pricing strategies. Systematically collect, validate, and maintain a centralized competitive knowledge base.
  • Techno-Economic Modeling (TEA): Independently conduct rigorous TEA and market analyses on competitor materials and manufacturing processes to quantify competitive advantage and inform internal cost targets and product performance goals.
  • Strategic Scenario Planning: Develop and execute structured analyses (e.g., War Gaming frameworks) to anticipate competitor reactions to our product launches and pricing changes, providing data-driven, proactive recommendations to leadership.
  • Commercial Enablement: Translate complex CI insights into clear, actionable commercial tools, such as sales battle cards and segment-specific competitive training for the Commercial team to directly improve win rates.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or similar field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) highly desirable.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a dedicated market/competitive intelligence function, preferably within a deep-tech, industrial, or energy sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise and hands-on experience in a Techno-Economic Modeling (TEA) and advanced market research methodologies. Exceptional proficiency in Excel/modeling tools and presentation software.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to operate as an expert individual contributor, working autonomously to structure and execute analysis, and presenting complex insights directly to senior executive stakeholders.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location

Payscale Disclosure

The starting base pay for this role is between $136,000 and $172,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
