Senior Analyst, HR Systems (Remote - OHIO)

Home Office - Ohio Full time

Join our Corporate team as a Senior Analyst, HR Systems, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting HR technology strategies that impact thousands of employees across The E.W. Scripps Company. This remote position offers the opportunity to bridge the gap between Human Resources and Information Technology, ensuring our systems and processes are aligned to deliver exceptional outcomes for our organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Perform administrative tasks, including monitoring, for the following HR systems:

    • HRMS

    • Time and Attendance

    • Benefits

    • GL

    • Employee and Manager Self Service

    • Adhoc and scheduled reporting

    • Backup for talent management systems (recruiting, learning, performance management, etc.)

  • Document training requirements related to changes to process and system, including the testing of new system functionality.

  • Perform testing of software fixes and upgrades for quality assurance control.

  • Partner with functional leads and system owners to identify interdependencies with other HR systems, talent management, talent acquisition, and payroll.

  • Determine business requirements for changes to systems or processes and assist Director, HR Systems with documenting the related requirements.

  • Use sound information and theory to provide management with recommended actions to resolve issues, enhance service delivery, or create value for the business.

  • Participate in establishing best practices, standards, and strategies related to HR systems initiatives

  • Champion the ongoing improvement of consistency, value, and usability of HR systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and user-friendly

  • Provide production support by investigating and resolving system problems and user questions

  • Work closely with internal and external teams to resolve technical and operational issues

  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting for business units

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in human resources technology and/or systems required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Established customer service skills as evidenced by working in the role of external or internal consultant.

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to influence others.

  • Proven understanding of relational databases

  • Must have strong knowledge of HR systems to solve complex technical issues.

  • Must have good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
