Your Opportunity
Our Winnipeg office is looking for a Senior Associate to join the Finance & Operations team. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle accounting processes, lead month-end reporting, and mentor junior team members while driving accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients across industries.
Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment tracking.
Complete HST, payroll, and other regulatory filings on time and with precision.
Lead the month-end close process, including variance analysis and reporting deliverables.
Support cash flow forecasting, budget tracking, and working capital management.
Track key financial metrics and KPIs, producing executive summaries and variance reports.
Maintain audit readiness through accurate documentation and strong internal controls.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and automate recurring tasks.
Use cloud-based accounting tools (QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware, Excel) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Coach junior team members, providing feedback and on-the-job guidance.

Your Experience and Education
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, with CPA prerequisites completed or in progress.
2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or client-service roles.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and KPI tracking.
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware, and Excel.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated initiative and leadership with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
