KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management:
Independently manage and grow a portfolio of key clients, driving the strategic execution of affiliate marketing strategies to exceed performance goals.
Forge and deepen relationships with clients through strategic advisory, regular high-level meetings, and proactive communication, acting as a senior point of contact.
Utilize advanced analytical skills to interpret performance data, providing strategic insights and recommendations to optimize client success.
Identify and pursue opportunities for significant growth and upselling, leveraging a deep understanding of client business needs and market opportunities.
Lead the resolution of complex client disputes, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term retention.
Affiliate Program Strategy:
Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative affiliate marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market opportunities for maximum impact.
Take full responsibility for client affiliate budgets and forecasts, applying expert judgment to maximize ROI and meet financial targets.
Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to inform strategic adjustments and opportunities for differentiation.
Collaborate closely with clients at a strategic level to customize affiliate programs, driving significant business results.
Lead the evaluation and optimization of affiliate program performance, setting benchmarks and leveraging advanced tools and technologies.
Collaboration:
Lead cross-regional initiatives with internal teams, driving affiliate strategies and sharing high-level insights and best practices.
Spearhead the development of strategic partnerships with publisher services, negotiating terms to benefit business growth.
Mentor team members, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the affiliate team.
Champion affiliate marketing in cross-functional projects, providing senior-level expertise to influence company-wide initiatives.
Strategize with the marketing team to enhance Rakuten Advertising's brand presence and support significant business events with a strategic focus.
Administration:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of client contracts and billing, ensuring sophisticated understanding and adherence to financial and legal standards.
Lead the resolution of complex billing issues, collaborating with the finance team to safeguard client interests and company revenue.
Manage and escalate technical issues, providing strategic oversight to ensure swift and effective resolutions.
Oversee revenue and forecasting for a significant client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strategic financial planning.
Ensure meticulous documentation of client performance and activities, setting standards for data integrity and analytical use.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Technical
5+ years of digital marketing experience including client service (agency, client or consulting)
BA degree in a Marketing field preferred
Competent in Microsoft Office programmes - particularly Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint
Experience in strong client relationships, reinforced by building trust, advising and upselling
Good project management skills
Web literate (tracking analytics and methods)
