Position:

Discovery Cube of Los Angeles, a science center in Lake View Terrace, CA, is seeking an experienced seasonal Custodian to join our Facilities team. Must be hard working with attention to detail and have experience working in a janitorial position.

Responsibilities:

Clean and stock bathrooms
Maintain cleanliness of building and patio
Empty trashcans, vacuum carpets, etc.
Set up and break down for events
Maintain maintenance shop cleanliness
Troubleshoot exhibits and upcoming attractions
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School diploma
At least 1 year of custodial experience
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Basic computer knowledge (email)
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
Proven self-starter with minimal management
Able to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs. for short periods of time
Focus on safety
Must be able to safely bend to turn attractions/exhibits on or off
Must be comfortable with change and a dynamic work environment with both low and peak seasons
