Team Member will be responsible for overseeing all start-up, operation, and shutdown of the Float, and Sand Plants, including production from the following:
Conditioners, Chemical dosing systems, Float Cells, Vacuum Belt Filter, Cyclones, Conveying systems,, Chemical dosing systems, Driers, Vacuum Belt Filter, Cyclones,, Pumps and any associated processing equipment within the plants.
Team member will be required to assist with maintenance activities when they are conducted at the plant.
Team Member will be responsible for controlling sand tailings stockpile levels and operation of a front end loader to move tails as required ensuring continual operation of the plant. Operator will also be required to move the sand plant oversize materials as required.
At the Sand Plant Team Member is responsible for all bulk loading operations into silo trucks and other haul vehicles using a front end loader
Team Member is also responsible for controlling the “grit” content of float mica, conducting in process testing and analysis, retaining quality control samples, controlling the moisture content of mica and monitoring all machinery.
Team Member must conduct the daily workplace exam before beginning work in the working place and must report any hazard identified to help prevent accidents.
Team Member is also responsible for completing his “FLOTATION DAILY SHIFT REPORT”, recording all production hours, recording all down time hours, recording all results from the testing, and recording messes found at the beginning of the shift and messes leaving at the end of the shift mentioning the reason of the mess.
Team Member must also do cleanup each day and any and all other duties as assigned.
Team Member must demonstrate ability to safely work with the proper PPE when handling and monitoring of chemicals ie.. chemicals resistant gloves and faceshield.
Team Member must report by call any downtime to his supervisor when the downtime is taking longer than 2 hours.
Team Member is responsible for lubricating, refilling fluids, cleaning and maintaining the equipment, and conducting daily pre/shift inspection report on the mobile equipment.
Working Conditions:
Indoors and Outdoors in various weather conditions
Requires working 12 hour shifts.
Experience:
Previous experience in operating large moving machinery in a manufacturing environment required.
Skills Requirements:
Ability to efficiently operate and monitor all processing equipment.
Ability to efficiently operate Loader and Forklift.
Communications skills including verbal, non-verbal, listening, interpreting and understanding instructions.
Consulting effectively with coworkers concerning work and schedules.
Ability to work as part of a Kings Mountain team.
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Other Required Activities:
Sitting, climbing, stooping, lifting, checking, visual inspection, hearing, listening, operation in a safe manner according to work instructions
