The Sales & Relationship Management Job Family Group responsible for sales activities of the organization, including managing client relationships and selling company products and services to individuals or other organizations. Develops and implements sales strategies, identifies potential customers, and manages existing customer relationships. Organizes sales training, sales and merchandising activities, business development activities, and sales operations and administration.

The Sales Job Family sells directly to the end consumer/business purchaser through primarily field (i.e., face-to-face) interactions with customers including: New sales to new customers as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers, assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions, developing and delivering sales bids, proposals, and presentations and conducting product demonstrations. Develops strategies focused on expanding client base within defined market segments, produces new account revenue in line with current organization and individual targets/quotas.

Responsible for moderately complex sales opportunities: a wider array of products, clients or channels OR specific product knowledge in a single area. Job duties require expanded knowledge of the industry, markets and sales processes. Job requires using existing procedures and established processes to sell products/services. Jobholder has flexibility to set and negotiate terms within defined parameters.
