Job Description

The Sales Manager will lead six Strategic Account Managers overseeing approximately 20 strategic accounts, representing more than $60M in business. You will deliver Rockwell's Digital Transformation message by building strong executive-level relationships, identifying and creating new opportunities, and driving profitable growth. You will play a key role in enhancing customer experience and loyalty through strategic engagement that fosters long-term partnerships. You will focus on discrete industries, including automotive, entertainment, aerospace, and glass.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Sales Account Managers, and execute an outcome-based selling process with account managers to ensure opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Develop strategies and plans to create new opportunities through top-to-top executive engagements, capabilities, technology overviews, and positioning our strategic offerings.
  • Recruit, develop, and effectively performance manage an engaged staff capable of exceeding assigned annual sales goals within the strategic accounts.
  • Support employee development by investing time and resources for both formal and informal training and executes development plans/opportunities for the team.
  • Clearly articulate and teach the Rockwell Automation Digital Transformation message to Sales Account Managers.
  • Develop and maintain key executive relationships for long-term business success.
  • Engage with executive leadership with the key Solution Partners and Systems Integrators in the delivery strategy.
  • Engage with key customers and opportunities to ensure Rockwell Automation's best chance for success.
  • Coordinate cross territory/region/country pursuits with appropriate sales teams and partners.
  • Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence to help future strategic accounts within the region.
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures, and appropriately apply them in compliance with government laws. Including, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental).

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional business-related degree/experience preferred.
  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant sales leadership experience
  • Ability to travel greater than 50% of time.
  • Prior experience in technical sales or strategic account management

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from 202,240.00 - 303,360.00 USD Annual, of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
