Key Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in asset management within our UK Wholesale Sales Team. The team play a vital role in building strong relationships with intermediary clients and promoting our diverse range of investment solutions.
In this role, you will be involved in client engagement, sales activity coordination, and the preparation of materials that support the promotion of Columbia Threadneedle’s investment capabilities. The role requires a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
Support Sales Managers aligned to Strategic Partners and Wealth channels, including Investment Trusts.
Assist with client engagement activities, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and responding to queries.
Prepare presentation materials and documentation for client meetings and fund rating agencies.
Collaborate with internal teams (investment, marketing, RFP, reporting, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of information.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales pipelines in the CRM system.
Conduct proactive outreach via phone and email to nurture relationships and identify new opportunities.
Attend client meetings and industry events, representing Columbia Threadneedle and promoting our investment capabilities.
Use data and insights to identify and engage new prospects aligned with strategic priorities.
Develop & maintain up-to-date knowledge of Columbia Threadneedle’s investment strategies and market views.
Key Capabilities
Be a current final year university student with a graduation date of Summer 2026.
Available to join Summer 2026 for the full 12-month period.
Passion for financial markets and client engagement &service.
Demonstrate an interest in working in a ‘can do’, sales environment.
Desirable Capabilities
Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
