About the role:
The Sales Associate supports the Leisure & Group sales team onsite. The candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment, entrepreneurial thought, discretion, strategic decision-making skill, and managing confidential information of the property. The ideal candidate will possess hotel experience in a luxury setting, ideally in sales, catering, or marketing. This position is designed to grow and transition within the Commercial department. The ideal candidate has the ability to be a Public Ambassador for Four Seasons Hotels. This position will be based on property at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail.
What you will do:
Receive and respond to incoming emails/phone calls inquiries to the Sales Department in accordance with Four Seasons standards. Confidently finds answers to customer questions, resolutions, and requests.
Prepare contracts and proposals for the Leisure Sales team.
Shadows Leisure & Group Sales Managers to learn, gain repetition, and develop their skill set.
Develop and create required Commercial collateral such as site alerts, stay itineraries, follow up surveys, etc. Helps manage and update sales content on websites, portals, and listings.
Conduct property tours and entertain travel agents, point of contact for meetings and social events. Point person for on-site leisure familiarization trips.
Supports resort customers in-house to promote good will and foster additional business, repeat bookings or referrals to other Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Communicates regularly with remote sales teams to update them on resort happenings, offerings, and changes.
Works directly with the Leisure & Group Sales teams to ensure inquiries are handled promptly, enhance customer support, and to deliver an elevated level of trust and commitment to our travel industry partners.
Work with all departments in preparation for VIP clientele arrivals and experience. Meet and greet and entertain clients.
Works as a liaison between the Leisure Sales team, travel agents, and the Guest Experience team to ensure guest satisfaction and customer retention.
Support business development, active prospecting, sales calls to increase visibility of the Resort to grow and maintain market segments.
Act as the onsite liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients’ needs, (i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Entertainment, Transportation, DMC, Off-site Locations etc.).
Walks, guest rooms and meeting spaces to ensure cleanliness and consistency for site tours while actively communicating with other departments around the resort.
Takes lead on sales amenity program and works with F&B departments to elevate client experience.
Regularly attend departmental meetings to improve, communicate, and support the resort.
Assists with purchase orders, invoices, commissions, payments, and additional requests from the finance department.
What you bring:
1+ years in sales, catering, or marketing position. Previous hotel experience preferred.
College Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
Proficient in Microsoft applications and hotel software such as Opera.
A high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision making and managing confidential information.
Strong and effective interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
A self-starter that can multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), a strong sense of quality, and a creative mindset.
Fluency in English is required for this location, and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Schedule & Hours:
This is a full-time position based on property at Four Seasons Vail.
The ideal candidate must be willing to work flexible hours and days of the week to support the essential functions of the department and division.
