Housecall Pro is a fintech company founded in 2013. We built a SaaS platform that helps Home Service Professionals operate their businesses. We created the application for plumbers, electricians, and other Pros in the home improvement/trades industries.

Housecall Pro is a simple, cloud-based field service management software platform aimed at helping companies keep track of jobs, monitor technician activity, and produce invoices easily.

Our core product helps our clients with scheduling, dispatching, job management, invoicing, payment processing, marketing, and more. They used to struggle with the ton of paperwork after their hours. Now they can save time, and manage their business in one app.

We think that this offer is for you if you have:

• ✅ BS in Computer Science or a related area, or with relevant work experience.
• ✅ At least 3 years of professional experience programming Ruby on Rails applications.
• ✅ Advanced knowledge of Ruby and Rails frameworks.
• ✅ A practical understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID principles.
• ✅ Experience with Sidekiq and background job processing.
• ✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
• ✅ Experience working with high-availability systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• ✅ A strong passion for using AI technologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
• ✅ Curiosity and drive to stay ahead of emerging AI/ML technologies.

 

What will help you succeed in this role:

• A working understanding of React or other frontend frameworks.
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Knowledge of refactoring techniques and writing loosely coupled code.
