CONTEXT OF THE POSITION…

The Reward- Compensation & Benefits Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient management of employee compensation, payroll execution, and time management processes across Airbus China. The role is responsible for executing key operational HR tasks in reward and payroll cycles, supporting system updates, ensuring legal compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders for seamless delivery.

ACCOUNTABILITY 

Reward & Compensation Operations

  • Support the Annual C&B Cycle, including salary review, bonus, performance review, and data validation.

  • Coordinate local implementation of global reward programs (e.g., share plans, retention schemes).

Payroll Management

  • Work closely with the outsourced payroll vendor to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing.

  • Review payroll input/output files and conduct necessary validation checks.

  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and support audit activities when required.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax, social security, and labor law regulations.
     

Time Management

  • Act as the local focal point for time management processes and systems (e.g., time tracking, leave management).

  • Troubleshoot time-related issues in the system and collaborate with Service Providers when needed.

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of time management tools and policies.
     

System & Data Management

  • Maintain high data accuracy in HR systems (e.g., myPulse, iPeople) related to compensation, payroll, and time.

  • Participate in system testing and updates related to Payroll and Time modules.

  • Support HR digitalization initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities.
     

Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and Reward teams to support compensation-related decisions.

  • Ensure clear communication to employees regarding pay, time, and reward programs.
     

  • Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., HR agency, Service provider, tax consultants) as required.

     

QUALIFICATION

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
 

Experience:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in payroll, compensation, or time management.

  • Experience in a multinational environment is strongly preferred.
     

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of mobility lifecycle, expatriate compensation, tax, and immigration principles.
 

  • Solid knowledge of China payroll, taxation, and labor regulations.

  • Strong data management and analytical skills, with proficiency in Google Sheets, as well as experience with HRIS systems such as Workday.

  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical thinking.

  • Strong communication skills; able to interact with employees and vendors professionally.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
