Let's talk about the role:
The Planning & Performance Specialist will partner closely with frontline leaders and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, execution, and uplift across customer-facing operations. The role will combine business planning, project management and capability enablement with a focus on performance improvement, process design, and customer experience.
Key Accountabilities
1. Business & Performance Planning
• Lead the annual and quarterly business planning process for the function.
• Align operational priorities with strategic goals, ensuring frontline and leadership teams have clarity on objectives, measures, and success outcomes.
• Track progress against KPIs, identify variances, and recommend interventions.
2. Project & Program Management
• Manage cross-functional projects that impact customer-facing operations, ensuring milestones, risks, and deliverables are clearly defined and delivered.
• Drive alignment and engagement with stakeholders, including frontline teams, to support smooth adoption of change.
• Develop and maintain project reporting and communication rhythms for leadership visibility.
3. Capability Development & Training
• Design and deliver training modules and playbooks to build operational and leadership capability across customer-facing teams.
• Support embedding of performance frameworks, coaching tools, and new ways of working.
• Facilitate workshops, learning sessions, and continuous improvement forums.
4. Process & Experience Design
• Map and analyse key processes across frontline operations to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and uplift.
• Apply Human-Centred Design (HCD) and UX principles to create experiences that are simple, seamless, and effective for both employees and customers.
• Partner with digital and product teams to align process changes with technology enablement.
5. Analytics & Insights
• Translate operational and customer data into actionable insights to inform planning, decision-making, and performance improvements.
• Build dashboards, reports, and performance reviews that make metrics visible and drive accountability.
• Use trend analysis to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
