Position Summary

The Research Senior Technician will provide technical and operational support to the Wieland Laboratory within the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology. The technician will perform experiments and maintain laboratory systems that support studies in tumor immunology, antigen presentation, and immune regulation, contributing to the lab’s overall research objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory experiments and procedures under the supervision of the PI or senior staff.

• Assist in sample preparation, data collection, and basic analysis for immune profiling experiments.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, and flow cytometers.

• Maintain cell cultures, reagents, and experimental inventories.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, and regulatory protocols.

• Assist in the organization and documentation of experimental data.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Biological or chemical sciences or equivalent experience required; 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.

• Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and safety practices.

• Ability to follow detailed experimental protocols and maintain accurate records.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with immunological assays, cell culture, or molecular biology techniques.

• Previous experience in an academic or clinical research laboratory setting.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
