The Role
An exciting role has become available in the School of Engineering at Macquarie University. We are seeking a qualified Research Associate to join a team with an international reputation for producing high quality industrially-relevant research in the area of advanced photovoltaics.
We are looking for a passionate and accomplished researcher with a strong track record in developing high-efficiency perovskite solar cells and modules, particularly in scalable fabrication and advanced printing processes.
The successful candidate will join an established project funded by the Australian Government, focusing on the development of a pilot prototype for an automated, eco-friendly manufacturing line. This will involve adapting slot-die coating to a roll-to-roll (R2R) system and optimising green solvent formulations to achieve high power conversion efficiency. The role also includes supervising junior researchers within the photovoltaics group at the School of Engineering.
Some of your duties include:
Setting up a scalable fabrication facility for perovskite solar cells and modules
Developing optimised coating processes for perovskite solar cells
Implementing green production in perovskite solar cells fabrication
Developing and optimising of module-level encapsulation processes for enhanced environmental durability
