About the role

The Events Manager plays a key role in driving Remarkable’s operational excellence, ensuring our team remains focused, organised, and aligned to our mission. You’ll lead the planning and delivery of Remarkable’s flagship events — such as the Disability Tech Summit, Startup Showcases, and ecosystem gatherings — while also supporting the wider team to stay strategically coordinated and high-performing.

This role blends event leadership, stakeholder engagement, and organisational coordination — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, loves creating meaningful experiences, and brings structure and rhythm to ambitious teams.

Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid work options.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Partner closely with the Founder to manage priorities, meetings, and strategic planning
  • Lead the design, logistics, and delivery of inclusive, high-impact events aligned with Remarkable’s brand and purpose
  • Oversee stakeholder relationships, including speakers, sponsors, partners, and suppliers
  • Track event performance and impact, applying learnings to future planning
  • Coordinate cross-team planning and reporting rhythms — such as leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, and board updates
  • Track progress on key initiatives, ensuring alignment across programs, partnerships, and strategic goals
  • Foster a connected, high-performing team culture through clear communication, collaboration, and leadership support

About you:

  • Proven experience in event management or program coordination
  • Confident communicator who can build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery — from event planning to execution
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused — able to anticipate needs and remove barriers
  • Effective organisational, administration and time management skills
  • Use initiative and manage daily workloads to ensure smooth operations within the Remarkable team
  • Prior experience in startups, innovation, or the disability sector desirable
  • Lived experience of disability is highly regarded
