Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst – Level 3 in support of the audit readiness for the Six DFARS Business Systems and to provide full spectrum of regulatory compliance support to the Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector. The Regulatory Compliance Analyst will interface with senior level management and other company personnel to ensure organizational compliance with the DFAR Business Systems requirements, internal procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and other government policies and procedures. This will require the ability to work effectively as a team member within both the Government Compliance function and the overall Northrop Grumman organization.

  

The selected candidate will report to the Manager of Regulatory Compliance.  This role is based in Chandler AZ.  We may consider a remote working scenario for this role.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting business systems and other compliance activities as we seek opportunities to streamline and harmonize compliance activities.
  • Supporting the continued execution of the Annual DFAR Business System Self-Assessment Plan.
  • Working with the DFARS business systems leads to ensure that all deficiencies are documented, Internal Corrective Action Reports (ICARS) established, Corrective Actions Implemented and closed.
  • Leading business systems pre-audit activities in support of internal and external audits.
  • Coordinating with internal customers for audit responses and tracking.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of DCMA/DCAA meeting in support of business systems audits as needed.
  • Assisting with Compliance Principles and Operating Procedures (PrOP) and Maintenance of Sector Compliance Technical Manual and Associated Procedures.
  • Contributing to other Government Compliance tasks, projects, and process improvement activities.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of relevant FAR and CAS rules/regulations to assist in assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field with 5+ years of relevant compliance experience (with an emphasis on accounting and internal audit) – OR – a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant compliance experience.
  • Experience working with DCAA auditors and basic understanding of the Defense Contract Audit Manual (DCAM).
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Government regulations, including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), TINA and DFARS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to successfully work across business units at various levels and disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An overall understanding of accounting, business systems, reporting systems, budgeting, estimating, internal controls.
  • A practical knowledge of FAR, CAS, and other related rules, regulations, laws, or issued guidance (i.e. DCAM, DFARS, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, writing, and team building skills.
  • Ability to learn all NG policies and procedures required to interpret issues, determine solutions, and evaluate their impact on the NG business environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $124,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
