About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Anesthesia team. You’ll work alongside VTSs, RVTs, and specialty clinicians to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality anesthetic care for patients across multiple services—including Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and ECC.

This is an ideal opportunity for an RVT looking to build advanced anesthesia skills and receive mentorship toward a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) credential in Anesthesia & Analgesia.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide hands-on support for anesthetic and sedated procedures.
  • Safely induce, monitor, recover patients, and transfer to ECC.
  • Operate and maintain advanced monitoring and anesthesia equipment (capnography, ventilators, multiparameter monitors).
  • Assist with anesthetic drug preparation, protocol selection with a focus on a multimodal approach.
  • Circulate and provide support in active operating rooms, working collaboratively with our Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to ensure efficient and safe surgical workflows.
  • Ensure accurate and complete anesthesia documentation and patient records within WoofWare and Smartflow.
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians and specialty technicians to ensure seamless case flow and patient safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training, CE sessions, and skill development programs supported by the hospital.
  • Cross-train and provide support to other specialty services, including Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), Neurology, and Internal Medicine, to promote collaboration and continuity of patient care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of anesthesia or surgical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow within a specialty environment.
  • Interest in pursuing VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia) is highly encouraged.
