Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for a PRN Infusion Registered Nurse for their Hospital Outpatient Infusion Room. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with research studies, provide patient and family education, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to innovation and improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is COC and QOPI Certified.

We will provide assistance to become Chemo/Amino Therapy Certified within 90 days of your employment and will provide voucher to maintain renewal.

CLINIC HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM, looking for someone willing to work 2 or more days a week. This position will require about 3 weekend shifts a year and 1 Holiday shift every 2 years.

May be asked to float to other locations: Overland Park, North, Lees Summit

We are looking for experienced nurses with Oncology experience or strong IV skills. To be successful, you will need to be organized, team oriented, adaptable, and enjoy helping others. We are seeking compassionate nurses who possess strong relationship building skills and enjoy going above and beyond for their patients while keeping the whole patient in mind.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process.
  • Coordinates care w/ Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Delegates tasks.
  • Identifies hospital resources.
  • Clinical resource for employees.
  • Formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

Basic Life Support – Healthstream - Healthstream, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
