The Cardiovascular Testing department at Elliot Health offers comprehensive cardiovascular testing services, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardio-oncology, and non-invasive testing. Our multidisciplinary team uses advanced technology for personalized treatment and accurate diagnoses.
At The Elliot Heart and Vascular Center, we bring together leading specialists in cardiology, vascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery to provide seamless, patient-centered care for every aspect of your heart and vascular health. This integrated approach ensures that patients receive the highest level of expertise, no matter how simple or complex the condition.
About the Job:
Delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.
What You’ll Do:
- Embrace and promote change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
- Assist in non-invasive cardiac testing procedures, pharmacological and non-pharmacological stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions, and any other cardiovascular testing as applicable. score: N/A
- Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning and communicates plan of care to patient and family for input, as well as to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
- Complete pre-procedure assessment based on patient/family interview, examination, and review of clinical data; communicate patient status and patient needs to physician and other team members.
- Demonstrate accountability for continued professional growth and development and for own role in the smooth operations of the unit.
- Utilize current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License required.
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
