Summary:

Arkansas Children's Pediatric Clinic - PRN during clinic offer hours (not benefit-eligible) - Required at time of hire: 1 year MA exp, national MA registration/certification & graduation from an accredited MA program

Additional Information:

Working under the direction of a physician, provides direct patient care to assigned patients by assisting in their examination and treatment.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED and completion of accredited medical assistant program

Related Field - 1 year healthcare or related setting as MA

Description

1. Completes and documents patient care in a safe, efficient and timely manner in the chart/record.

2. Plans, prioritizes and organizes patient care tasks

3. Completes routine patient care tasks, including lab functions and medication administration (including vaccines).

4. Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed staff or provider.

5. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency situations and reacts appropriately.

6. Performs access-related activities and other support duties as assigned.

7. May participate in project management such as Vaccines for Children (VCF) and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) etc.

8. Participates on hospital and system committees.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.
