Anthropic

Regional Partner Manager, UK & Northern Europe

London, UK Full Time

About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Regional Partner Manager UK and Northern Europe is to build and develop our Claude Services Partner ecosystem in the region.

The Anthropic Channels and Alliances team’s function is to extend and accelerate adoption of Claude and its developer platform by recruiting and developing a portfolio of consulting, services, technology and selling partners.

As the first hire in region this will be a hands-on role, suited to a 0-1 operator capable of balancing external-facing partner management with internal-facing sales enablement. You will report to the Head of Channels & Alliances EMEA and form a key part of the local GTM team working in lock-step with them to build Claude’s presence and drive market share in the region. You will collaborate very closely with sales and applied AI in addition to marketing, customer success and centralised program management.

This position requires a candidate with extensive experience building and managing a primarily service-focussed ecosystem and the ability to juggle multiple strategic priorities simultaneously: enabling existing partners to drive immediate pipeline impact, embedding partners into active sales cycles, and prospecting new partners to address coverage gaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of Anthropic Alliances to our UK/NE partners including SIs, GSIs and ISVs/Technology Partners.
  • Build the ecosystem to accelerate the adoption of Claude and to service and support our customers.
  • Partner with regional sales leaders to ensure business objectives are identified and met.
  • Understand the partner's businesses and their full  product and services offering.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships via regular communication, joint business planning and performance reviews
  • Provide and coordinate sales and technical enablement, ensuring partners function as a seamless extension of our direct sales and applied AI teams.
  • Review customer needs and product/service coverage gaps to identify where to focus prospecting and product /service enhancement.
  • Monitor market and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and deliver regular pipeline, lead and activity reports attributing partner value
  • Work with partners on sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Be the “voice of the partner” to internal teams (product, sales, leadership)

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing services partners, consulting partners or value-added resellers in the AI, data or enterprise software industry.
  • Track record of operational excellence and independently managing complex, multi-threaded partner programs with minimal oversight. Able to translate strategic direction into tactical execution plans.
  • Experience managing an ecosystem across multiple countries, liaising with multiple distributed GTM teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with technology products at an early stage of maturity, including APIs and platforms.
  • Experience with both boutique SIs and enabling GSI practices across multiple countries.
  • Experience working across a varied customer base from digital native to mid-market and large enterprise.
  • Very comfortable navigating a high degree of ambiguity and prioritizing work ruthlessly in an exceptionally fast-moving environment. This role is suited to a high agency individual.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tooling to multiply impact and efficiency.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in virtual teams
  • Willing and able to travel throughout the region

Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed.  Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
