JOB PURPOSE

The role focuses on formulating strategies and setting direction to grow the SME business in the Northern Region, while managing and optimizing the existing portfolio to maximize earnings and minimize losses for the Bank. It also involves leading, supervising, and guiding Northern BC Heads and sales teams to achieve the Bank’s targets and objectives effectively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

Sales Management

  • New loans according to targets specified under the Regional’s Annual Credit Plan.
  • Review and track performance of business center.
  • Provide expertise and advice to Portfolio team members, in implementing the Bank’s lending strategy.

 

Service Management

  • Ensure promptness of credit processing and reviews for accounts under the portfolio.
  • To monitoring and review activities to ensure loan assets are in line with the Bank’s desired quality.
  • Manage processes to ensure compliance to prescribed level of service standards, and guidelines.

 

Client Relationship Management

  • Conduct regular visits and meetings with top-end BC customers to enhance banker-customer relationship and service quality
  • Support to implement customer retention as exit strategies.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance on inter-departments within the Bank with matters relating to BC business portfolio.
  • Ensure up-to-date status reports on loan portfolio, income and other MIS reports.
  • Ensure compliance of AMLA and credit risk compliance issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7–10 years in banking, with strong exposure to SME or commercial banking, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, regional strategy, and branch operations.
  • Experience in team management, including coaching and performance appraisal.
  • Strong understanding of SME financing products, credit risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
