We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Collaboration Manager to lead and shape collaborative initiatives between our company and external partners, including academic institutions, clinical researchers, and other innovation-driven organizations. This role is pivotal in identifying funding opportunities, securing grants, and managing long-term engagement relationships that drive innovation.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Collaboration Development

  • Identify, initiate, and structure collaborations with academic institutions, hospitals, and other external stakeholders.
  • Align collaborative opportunities with the company’s strategic priorities and innovation roadmap.
  • Develop partnership models that balance scientific value, outcome potential, and operational feasibility.

Funding & Grant Acquisition

  • Proactively scout and evaluate national and international funding opportunities (e.g., government grants).
  • Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a database of funding sources and track application outcomes and timelines.

Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and its collaboration partners.
  • Facilitate regular communication, governance meetings, and progress reviews with collaborators.
  • Ensure alignment of expectations, deliverables, and timelines across all parties.

Monitor and report on the performance and impact of collaborative projects.

Internal Coordination & Reporting

  • Work cross-functionally with segments, regulatory, legal, and to support collaboration execution.
  • Provide strategic insights and updates to senior leadership on partnership outcomes and opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation and records of all collaboration agreements and funding activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing collaborations, preferably in the med tech, biotech, or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong understanding of grant funding mechanisms and experience in successful grant writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with IP, regulatory, and compliance considerations in collaborative research.
