Recruiting Operations Lead

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Recruiting Operations Lead to join our global Recruiting team. HRT's Recruiting Operations team works alongside our recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to coordinate candidate interviews, enhance tools and processes, and focus on the recruiting experience. In this role, you will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of HRT’s recruiting process, working closely with teams across the firm to ensure a seamless hiring experience. The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic thinker and leader, is detail-oriented, and excels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage the Recruiting Operations team, providing guidance and support to Recruiting Coordinators.
    • Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Recruiting Process Management and Optimization
    • Partner with the Head of Recruiting to design and refine recruiting workflows, ensuring they are scalable, well-documented, and optimized for quality and efficiency.
    • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the hiring process, proposing and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
    • Ensure the recruiting team complies with employment laws and internal policies.
    • Provide oversight of high-touch interview scheduling, ensuring seamless coordination that reflects HRT’s high standards for candidate experience.
  • Systems and Tools Management
    • Oversee recruiting tools and technologies (e.g. Greenhouse, scheduling software, CRM), ensuring they are effectively integrated and used, conducting training as needed.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to support hiring goals and improve both the candidate and coordinator experience.
    • Maintain data integrity across recruiting systems and partner with People Analytics to build dashboards to track key recruiting metrics and trends.
  • Project Management
    • Lead operational logistics for recruiting programs such as employee referral programs, interviewer training, and strategic hiring initiatives.
    • Manage special projects aimed at enhancing recruiting capabilities, including documentation, process rollout, interview training, and implementation of new recruiting technologies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support recruiting needs and enhance the hiring experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of experience leading a recruiting operations team or related function within a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience as an in-house recruiter preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvement, tool optimization, and operational excellence. 
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting systems and tools such as Greenhouse, GEM, and GoodTime, with a strong understanding of systems integration and process automation.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends and drive strategic decision making. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows, prioritize competing demands, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, based on job-related skills and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
