Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Muroc Lake Golf Course, located on Edwards Airforce Base This position requires the applicant to be of age to sell alcoholic beverages to patrons.

Major Duties:

  • Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of golf course recreational facility. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payment for rounds of golf or tournaments; notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to actives scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks. Performs over-the-counter selling of a wide variety of golf merchandise. Sells alcoholic beverages to customers. Operates cash register, rings up sales, receives monies and make appropriate change, processes credit card sales. At the end of shift, clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Places merchandise in bags. Prices merchandise according to pricing guides and replenish stock as required. Opens or closes the golf course in compliance with established procedures. Takes tee time reservations in accordance with established policy. Occasionally may operate the cash register in the sandbagger grill. Performs administrative duties. Must have the ability to operate a cash register and to resolve common arithmetic problems when receiving payment from customers.
