About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the role 

A Recreation Agent assists in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational, cultural, and hotel resort activities for individuals or groups. They help promote participation, ensure program safety, and support smooth daily operations. 

What you will do 

  • Provide information to the public about recreational programs, schedules, and facility use. 

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising recreational programs and events (hiking biking, sport activities 

  • Register participants and maintain attendance records and activity logs. 

  • Set up and organize facilities, equipment, and materials for scheduled activities. 

  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed; report incidents or hazards promptly. 

  • Assist with facility maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment inspections. 

  • prepare reports, and assist with administrative tasks related to recreation services. 

  • Support inclusion and accessibility for all hotel guests. 

What you bring 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (PLUS if associate’s or bachelor’s degree in recreation, leisure studies, or a related field). Knowledge of recreational equipment, safety rules, and community programming. 

  • Experience: Entry-Level: 0–1 year of experience in recreation, community service, customer service, or a related field. Intermediate/Experienced: 1–3 years of experience in recreational programming, event coordination, or facility supervision. Experience working with diverse age groups (youth, adults, seniors) in a community, recreation setting and luxury hotel resort 

  • Trained and certified in First-Aid, CPR, Heimlich Maneuver and rescue techniques.  

  • Languages: Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.  

  • Customer service orientation and positive attitude. Outgoing personality and at ease with customers.  

  • Teamwork Attitude: Willingness to collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth operations and maintain high service standards. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Organizational and time-management skills. 

  • Ability to lead activities and engage participants. Demonstrated ability to lead group activities, resolve conflicts, and ensure participant safety. 

  • Physical Stamina: Physically active role — standing, walking, lifting equipment, and supervising activities. 

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing demands and schedules, including working during high seasons or varied shifts as required by operations. 

  • Basic computer skills for registration systems and reporting. 

  • Ability to swim.  

  • Criminal record certificate: As in the rest of Spain, workers must present a criminal record certificate to work with minors.  

  • Legal authorization to work in Spain. 

 

Work Experience: 2 Years. 

Degree: Professional /Technician. 

Languages: Spanish / English. 

Language Ability: High.

Schedule & Hours: Seasonal contract, full Time, 40 hours per week, with consecutive and rotating shifts (including early mornings, days, evenings and weekends). 

Work environment: May involve indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
