Quality Technician
We’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Technician who thrives at the intersection of documentation, collaboration, and hands-on inspection. In this role, you’ll support our Quality Engineers by managing document control activities, preparing customer-facing quality packages, assisting with audits, and stepping in on inspection tasks when needed. You’ll be the central liaison across departments, ensuring our quality systems stay organized, efficient, and audit-ready.

Salary Information: $25.38 - $29.00 per hour, plus bonus

Your Challenge:
Assist the Quality Engineers with various activities to support customer and regulatory/statutory requirements
Support the processing of nonconforming material
Participate in internal audits as an auditor
Support the process of annual vendor evaluations, including contacting vendors to request quality system documentation
Prepare quality document packages for customers under the supervision of Quality Engineers
Convert hard copy quality records to electronic files and maintain electronic quality records within the document control system
Process document changes resulting from Engineering Change Notices
Maintain the Quality Documents intranet webpage, including posting new revisions of quality documents
Distribute company quality system documentation to customers when that documentation has been revised
Revise quality system documentation in accordance with approved change requests
Facilitate approvals of new and revised quality system documentation
Monitor employee certifications and notify personnel of upcoming expiration dates
Participate in department continuous improvement efforts
Other related duties as required
What You Bring:
Requires 4 years previous experience in one or more Quality roles in manufacturing environments
Experience with Quality, Nuclear, and/or Aerospace industry standards (ISO9001:2015, AS9100D, NQA-1, etc.)
Experience participating as an auditor in internal audits
Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Physical requirements may include lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must be proficient with MS Office products
Must be proficient with Windows
Must be proficient with PDF editor programs (such as Adobe and FoxIt)
Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Additional Skills
Lives the “continuous improvement” philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and concepts.
Certification to ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) is a plus.
Have an understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up
Experience with investigating quality issues in a methodical manner ultimately resulting in a report that identifies containment, root cause, and corrective and preventative actions
Experience inspecting and testing machined components and/or electronic assemblies
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Operations, Business Management, etc.)
