Position Summary:
The Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the factory’s quality systems, metrology and calibration programs, and safety compliance processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products, processes, and documentation meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, particularly those related to automotive quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Metrology and Calibration Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the factory’s calibration plan.
- Manage periodic calibration and verification of measuring and test equipment.
- Ensure all equipment maintains traceability to national or international standards.
- Lead the internal calibration program, including performing internal calibrations and coordinating external service providers.
- Track and analyze non-conforming or expired equipment, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
Safety and Compliance
- Serve as the factory’s internal expert on safety regulations (“An-Gui”), ensuring compliance with applicable product and process safety standards (e.g., automotive, electrical).
- Conduct internal safety audits and coordinate corrective actions.
- Liaise with external agencies and customers for safety audits, certifications, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update safety compliance records, including test reports and certifications.
Quality System and Documentation Management
- Administer and maintain the quality document control system, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions (SOPs), and inspection standards.
- Ensure all quality-related documentation is current, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) documents in compliance with IATF 16949 and other relevant standards.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, supporting corrective and preventive action planning.
Internal Training and Communication
- Provide training to employees on metrology, safety regulations, and quality system procedures.
- Communicate regularly with the domestic quality team to align on quality objectives, share data, and coordinate improvement initiatives.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering or quality systems role, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Knowledge of metrology, calibration, and measurement systems management.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related quality system standards.
- Experience with safety and product compliance standards (automotive or electrical preferred).
- Strong documentation management skills and familiarity with electronic document control systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
