Quality Operational Excellence Manager

As the Quality Operational Excellence Manager you will be a member of the Quality leadership team in Verviers, Belgium, and will work with departmental and cross-functional peers to develop pipeline of projects improving processes and delivering value to the organization at a global scale. You will lead continuous improvement activities through the Lonza Business Management System (LBMS) including development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

What you will do:

• Drive Harmonization of Quality processes across the Global Bioscience business unit and work closely with the Bioscience operation strategy functions.
• Develop KPIs for Quality, supports development of lower level KPIs ensuring alignment at various tier meetings.
• You will drive LBMS within Quality; and lead the development of the teams as well as manage the execution of the Lean Maturity Assessment (LMA) roadmap.
• Collaboration with Operational Excellence and Site Project Management teams to drive the use of appropriate project management tools and ensure appropriate alignment and prioritization across various functions.
• Partnering with Engineering and Finance to develop and support development of compelling business cases for CAPEX requests and lead the mid to large size projects.
• Oversee smaller departmental & cross-functional projects and support the team in delivering them.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Lean 6 sigma certification is required for the position. We are looking for a green belt or higher certification.
• Experience in a matrix organization and international exposure (preferably US) is a plus.
• Fluent in both French (site language) and English (for international projects).
