Core Competencies Required:

  • Provides day-to-day support of assigned processes, creates, and maintains documentation such as batch production records, operation procedures, criticality analysis, and key and controlled parameter documents.
  • Captures and record product quality complaints (PQC) from call the center into Quality Assurance (QA) database and engages with complainants to ensure information is accurate.
  • Maintains, and ensures compliance with process control plans, quality assurance plans, and procedures at site level
  • Experience in assuring product compliance with regulatory requirements, and knowledge of product development and manufacturing.
  • Conveys information, including complex technical requirements in clear terms to people of various backgrounds at site level.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and strategies, including root cause analysis, 8D, 5Why, Plan, Do, Check Act (PDCA) methodologies.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Researches and communicates safety and compliance requirements relating to current products, new product categories.
  • Partakes in product development projects to make certain that safety, regulatory, and agency requirements are recognized and satisfied in target markets.
  • Takes part in Product Quality Risk Assessments projects to spot and quantify safety and compliance risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensures that safety and compliance requirements are met in aspects of a product such as labeling, packaging artwork, and instruction booklets.
  • Assists in cost savings and continuous improvement projects to ensure that product safety and compliance is maintained.
  • Stays abreast with changes to regulatory and agency requirements and recommend actions to Quality Engineer required to maintain compliance of active products.
  • Performs ongoing testing and compliance documentation updates for active products.
  • Maintains records to support product safety and compliance.
  • Assists in investigation and problem solving for product safety or compliance issues.
  • Contributes to policies and processes to assure safety and compliance
  • Adapts existing product designs to meet new specifications and applications.
  • Assists with construction of prototypes.
  • Tests prototypes to verify product reliability; makes adjustments as required.
  • Assists the engineering department in resolving product issues or production difficulties.
  • Secure the defective product samples and provide information about the product required for investigation.
  • Performs evaluation of customer-returned product, processing investigations, and managing product replacement or reimbursement.
  • Aides the organization in defining and tracking performance metrics to guarantee compliance processing complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing
  • Proven experience involved with design & compliance projects related to windows and doors.
  • Knowledge of building codes IBC, UBC, etc.
  • Ability to read structural and architectural plans/blueprints.
  • Experience in assuring product compliance with regulatory requirements, and knowledge of product development and manufacturing.
  • Conveys information, including complex technical requirements in clear terms to people of various backgrounds.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – frequent use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
