Position Summary:

The Quality Control Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving production quality processes to ensure products consistently meet Greenworks’ high standards and customer requirements. This role drives root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a deep understanding of quality control tools and standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Monitoring and Execution

  • Oversee and execute quality control processes throughout daily factory production.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and comply with applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
  • Monitor, track, and manage non-conformances during production, including issues related to safety, measurement deviations, and process quality.
  • Drive rapid containment and closed-loop corrective actions to minimize defect rates and prevent recurrence.

 Problem Analysis and Resolution

  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for market complaints and production issues using structured methodologies such as 8D and 5Why.
  • Develop, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable quality improvement.
  • Maintain the factory’s quality database, ensuring timely and accurate recording of quality incidents and resolutions.
  • Prepare and present regular quality performance reports (e.g., PPM, trend analysis, and key metrics) for management for decision-making support.

Process Improvement and Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous process improvement and defect prevention initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent process performance.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits and support compliance with company and industry standards.

 Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing quality control.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, and FMEA.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis, and defect reduction methodologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and use of quality databases or ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
