Opswat

Quality Control Manager

Tampa, Florida, United States Full Time

OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

The Position

Lead the development and maturity of our internal supply chain for hardware that supports OPSWAT’s cybersecurity products. You will own endtoend quality for servers, desktops, kiosks, and IoT devices—from supplier qualification and secure imaging to tamperevident packaging and field performance. This role expands the scope of our existing Quality Control Program to explicitly include secure supplychain leadership, HBOM/signing standards, and chainofcustody controls.

You will oversee documentation for internal, government, and oversight audiences and maintain a hardware/technical library used across OPSWAT. This is an in-office position based in our Yobor City warehouse.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and Implement Quality & SupplyChain Procedures
  • Design and execute comprehensive quality control plans to ensure the highest performance and reliability standards across all hardware SKUs.
  • Mature a Supply Chain Risk Management program
  • Define tamperevident, chainofcustody packaging and document each custody event from CM/ODM to customer delivery.
  • Secure Imaging, Firmware Integrity, and Updates
  • Conduct Thorough Testing of all outbound customer orders.
  • Lead functional, performance, stress, environmental, and ESDsafe handling tests; maintain calibrated fixtures and “golden unit” references.
  • Implement acceptance sampling (ISO 9001:2015) for inbound materials and critical components; manage containment and disposition.

Collaborate with CrossFunctional Teams

Partner with Hardware/Software Engineering (image content & signing), Product (roadmaps), Security (policy), PSIRT (vulnerability response), Legal (attestations/export), Sourcing (supplier risk), Finance (scrap/RMA), and Support (field feedback) to integrate quality throughout the lifecycle.

Analyze and Report Data

Build dashboards and publish weekly metrics to drive decisions and continuous improvement: FirstPass Yield, Supplier PPM/DPPM, OTIF, order accuracy, RMA rate by defect code, fulfillment cycle time, scan compliance, audit pass rate, and containment lead time.

Ensure Compliance

  • Mature and maintain our ISO 9001:2015 QMS Program
  • Align controls to ISO 9001:2015 and publicsector requirements as applicable.
  • Prepare audit evidence for customers and oversight agencies; maintain an auditable library of SOPs, work instructions, control plans, HBOMs, certificates, shipping attestations, and 8D reports.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Lead PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) for new SKUs; apply SPC (statistical process control) to reduce variability.
  • Translate field learnings into supplier scorecards and engineering changes with measurable impact.

What We Need From You

5+ years in quality control or manufacturing quality, ideally in hardware, embedded systems, or security appliances/OTadjacent products (e.g., data diodes, kiosks, secure gateways).

Demonstrated ownership of secure imaging, HBOM management, and firmware signing/verification and update processes.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and best practices; familiarity with automated test frameworks.
  • Handson with AQL sampling, SPC, PFMEA, DVP&R, and 8D problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS, and publicsector procurement constraints (CMMC).

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to mentor teams in Quality functions, collaborate across functions, and present technical information to senior leadership and customers.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment; excellent organization and time management; meticulous documentation habits.

Tools

  • Proficiency with PLM/QMS (e.g., Arena/Agile), ERP/WMS, scripting for test automation (Python/PowerShell), and dashboarding (e.g., Power BI).

Certifications (preferred)

  • Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), CQA/CMQ/OE, CPSM, or ISO 9001 auditor credentials.
