QHSE PMO Officer – Domain Distribution

Are you in the early stages of your career and eager to grow in a dynamic, international team? Vanderlande is looking for a QHSE PMO Officer who is passionate about delivering high standards of QHSE and supporting a global team of professional managers. 

As QHSE PMO Officer, you love data, have a curious mind, and want to contribute to building a high-performing, tech-driven QHSE function.   You will support the team in key QHSE processes, reporting  and communication and be empowered to develop and enhance QHSE reporting processes for the domain and to continuously grow within the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate QHSE reporting, use of company tooling and databases and our interface with client reporting systems and databases in Domain Distribution.  
  • Collaborate with and act as point of contact for the corporate QHSE team for reporting and critical communications. 
  • Organise QHSE information and data in the domain to enable user friendly access by teams, sharing of common information and organise communications for the Distribution Domain QHSE department.
  • Preparation, analysis, and reporting of QHSE data, supporting information and KPIs, including client reports.  Be able to explain performance drivers and enable visibility of KPIs at various levels and within differing disciplines within the Domain.  Provide increased granularity of information to allow effective decision making in teams / projects / service sites on priority topics / actions.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams and actively scan & evaluate relevant databases to track performance of key leading and lagging indicators and provide visibility of compliance status.   
  • Monitor company QHSE and client tooling to check quality of inputs / outputs.  Follow up improvement points and escalate significant issues to relevant QHSE Domain leadership team members.
  • Support monitoring and reporting of contractor QHSE performance including ability to demonstrate relevant competences, documentation, compliance with standards and processes, behaviours towards HSE, tracking and close out of issues.
  • Support QHSE teams with visibility of lookahead for upcoming project and service contracts and pre-start on site QHSE plans.
  • Co-ordination and tracking of QHSE training programs where required
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects 
  • Participating in initiatives to automate and streamline QHSE processes and implementing smarter ways of working. 
  • Using tools like Excel, Power BI, and other data platforms to drive insights and efficiencies in conjunction with other data specialists. 
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Actively support QHSE teams and regional QHSE managers in sustaining a right first time & proactive safety culture.
  • Support QHSE Domain Director with other activities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Graduate and /or a recently qualified safety / quality professional
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and willingness to work across global time zones
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and eagerness to learn and improve
  • Strong knowledge of Excel / Powerpoint, with experience in data analysis 
  • Exposure to Power BI or other dashboarding/visualization tools 
  • Solution-focused, takes initiative to ensure self and stakeholder groups work effectively within established guidelines and timeframes 
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Creative thinker, open to challenge and eager to learn 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English – other languages a bonus) 
  • Understanding of QHSE management standards & principles preferred and passion for driving high standards of QHSE performance.
