Job Summary

As a QA Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and alignment with business requirements by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the product, you will work directly with the Product Manager and stakeholders to review epics and new features, ensuring requirements are clear and complete. You will design comprehensive test cases—including edge and negative scenarios, and perform exploratory testing on new implementations. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between QA analysts and the automation team, validating readiness for automated testing.

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the product, working closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders;
  • Review epics and new features, ensuring clarity and completeness of requirements;
  • Create detailed test cases, including corner cases and negative scenarios, to guarantee robust coverage;
  • Perform exploratory testing on implemented features;
  • Serve as the gatekeeper between QA analysts and the automation team, validating readiness for automated testing;
  • Collaborate with service teams and business areas to understand impacts and ensure quality standards;
  • Participate in discussions about quality strategies and improvements with stakeholders;
  • Ensure flexibility and responsiveness to urgent priorities.

 

 

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of product and business processes;
  • Proven experience in manual QA testing, including exploratory and functional testing;
  • Ability to design comprehensive test cases for complex features;
  • Strong background of QA best practices and SDLC;
  • Experience in exploratory testing techniques;
  • Advanced or Fluent English for Reading/Writing/Speaking.

 

 

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with test automation (e.g., Selenium/Java, or any other tool or programming language);
  • Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, TestRail);
  • Understanding corner cases, negative testing, and risk-based testing;
  • Knowledge of business processes and ability to connect technical and functional aspects.
