What You’ll Do 

  • Bring the SOTI story to life by supporting the team with proactive regional PR plans for the company to reinforce brand vision, values and positioning that support the growth of a fully integrated communications strategy

  • Support the PR strategy to drive brand awareness and share of voice

  • Facilitate requests from the agencies to achieve business and technology media coverage

  • Liaise with SOTI spokespeople to ensure they have the materials required to prepare them for interviews or garner approvals

  • Coordinate and integrate PR campaigns, content and results with the Social Media team to ensure sharing across SOTI’s social channels

  • Assist with the writing of content (customer stories, blogs, etc.) and editing of materials

  • Support and help organize opportunities for corporate speakers at events and conferences

  • Support and help the PR and Communications team with project management for SOTI’s quarterly reports, working cross-functionally with the Corporate Marketing team as well as the PR agencies

  • Ensure corporate awards and product review opportunities are supported and help to prepare submissions

  • Support the team with logistics and administrative tasks to fulfil external opportunities such as speaking engagements, media opportunities, etc. by booking meetings, preparing briefing books with the agency and follow up

  • Oversee the reporting and measurement tools on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and work with the team to assemble data and provide reporting metrics as required

  • Prioritize and manage incoming requests for information, surveys, fact checks, customer references, and events.

  • Support the team as they develop case studies, sales, marketing and product opportunities

  • Work with the social media and content teams to ensure content calendar is updated and new opportunities are in the pipeline

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Business, Post-Secondary Certification in Public Relations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills with the ability to proof and edit copy

  • An interest in learning about a global media relations landscape

  • The ability to oversee daily monitoring through a media monitoring tool

  • The ability to coordinate results reporting and submissions from global PR agencies

  • Provide support for PR-owned content creation such as quarterly reports and customer stories

  • Results-driven, continually raises the bar while delivering both quality and quantity 

  • Passionate about being current on latest industry trends; able to articulate key details and potential opportunities clearly and confidently 

  • Growth mindset and attitude of a lifelong learner, with a genuine desire to make a difference within a growing organization 

  • Comfortable with risk-taking to challenge the status quo

  • A self-starter that can multi-task and constantly prioritize on the fly – you get stuff done!

  • Motivated, energetic team player who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment 

  • Strong project management skills

  • Interest in working, networking and collaborating with a global team, sitting across countries and continents and managing time zones effectively 

  • Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent matters 

  • Knowledge of Asana or other project management/collaboration tool is an asset

  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid model (work from home/work from team office in Mississauga)
