Protocol and Engagements Officer

Key Role:

Serve as a member of a high performing team managing all aspects of protocol visits and personnel security clearance processing. Work closely with clients to obtain security clearance approvals, conduct briefings and debriefings, analyze and estimate clearance processing timelines and eligibility, maintain clearance records, document reportable information, and conduct preemployment security clearance verifications. Maintain liaison with outside agencies, including international organizations, and keep upper management informed of all results in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as an intelligence professional in a joint environment
  • 2+ years of experience supporting organizational key leader engagements, managing Distinguished Visitor (DV) events, and scheduling in support of defense related missions and US Government officials
  • Experience in Personnel Security including DISS, EQIP, Scattered Castles, and clearance processing, such as closed areas and sensitive compartmented information (SCI)
  • Experience in process improvement or knowledge management roles delivering impact
  • Experience managing databases and SOPs
  • Ability to engage with mission partners on protocol and security issues in a joint or partner environment
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Foreign National Partners or International Organizations in a professional environment
  • Experience working in a NATO organization
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in the French language
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
