We are looking for our next Project Supervisor to join the team at Ridge street until August 2026. Work on a fantastic new project!

The Role

Our Ridge street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose free range.

We are looking for our next project supervisor to join us until August 2026 to help with supervising teams, upgrading existing assets, and installing new equipment on our $50 million large scale capital upgrades project. This Project Safety and Installation Supervisor works to ensure all contractors and staff are working safely according to Bega requirements and performing works to the standards required for the project to be successful. Previous supervisor experience essential as well as strong people and project organisation skills.

This is a fixed term role commencing ASAP and concluding August 2026. This role works Monday to Friday but also includes weekend work (2 weekends in a month). Applicants must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise project teams to deliver project engineering tasks

  • Communicate all project engineering day to day activities with the project team and site team, to ensure all works are coordinated with minimal/no impact to operations

  • Facilitate a daily project toolbox meeting with key project team members and distribute daily minutes. Attend site operations meetings to share project plans and details as needed, and to coordinate installation windows within site production schedules.

  • Ensure all contractor workers are inducted, authorised to be onsite to work, and conducting work in a safe manner according to their scope of work and the Bega safety, quality and environment management systems.

  • Collaborate with wider project engineering workstream leads to develop installation plans and contribute technically to problem solving.

About you

  • Engineering and/or maintenance supervision experience

  • Strong people mgmt. experience and ensuring the project is delivered on time by our people

  • Understanding of procedures including safety practices and contractor mgmt. procedures and holding people accountable if they are not followed

  • Previous project experience would come in handy, especially large scale

  • Strong communication skills
