SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
As a Project Management Leader, your role will be to identify opportunities that drive operational efficiencies across the manufacturing network, proactively monitor and optimize back shop capacity, build “Make vs. Buy” financial business cases to develop data-driven strategic recommendations, and execute approved projects to achieve measurable marginal cost savings. Key components of the marginal cost savings are driven by operational costs, logistics costs, and tariff mitigation.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
These duties may include but are not limited to: 
Develop, plan, communicate, and implement assigned project(s) using a cross-functional team.
Develop financial estimates and execution plans for network optimization initiatives.
Proactively manage capacity to best leverage Polaris core competencies across the manufacturing network.
Discover, quantify, communicate, and execute operation improvement projects to reduce total cost for Polaris.
Develop Make vs. Buy marginal cost financial models to formulate strategic insource/outsource recommendations for Business Unit approval.
Partner with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and finance to gather business case inputs and align on insource/outsource strategy for existing and NPI parts.
Ensure seamless part transitions through disciplined project management and adherence to released transition standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with operations and business leadership to ensure alignment and support of proposed plans.
Facilitate weekly cross functional injection mold meetings for manufacturing, sourcing, and quality functions to proactively mitigate risk.
Own financial performance for assigned initiatives, including forecasting, budget adherence and cost optimization.
Provide regular updates to senior management on financials, project status and mitigations for critical program risks.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: 
Bachelor’s Degree required in operations, engineering, supply chain, or a related field
Minimum 2 years related experience, preferably in a similar industry.
Demonstrate high personal integrity and ethics.
Decisive and prone to action, self-motivated and able to navigate ambiguity.
Effective communication at all levels of the organization and with suppliers, customers and outside agencies.
Effective at managing multiple projects in parallel across various cross functions within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage teams across geographies and without direct report relationships.
Demonstrated competence in manufacturing processes optimization with a strong product knowledge base.
Experience with Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
PMP or PgMP Certification preferred
Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies preferred.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $74,000 to $90,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
